Psalms of Joy and Praise (Continued) - Psalms 139, 145, 148, 150

All the days ordained for me
     were written in Your book
before one of them came to be.

There've been a few times in my life someone's written a story about me and, I have to admit, it's a good feeling.  You feel important.  Like the things you do, your life, matter.

So when the most creative and prolific and renowned artist of all time decides to include you in His book...well, that's a really, really good feeling.  You feel important and, in this case, blessed.  The only slightly off-putting thing is how intimately writers know the thoughts and motives and inner-most feelings of their characters.  Wow.  God knows all of that about me...and, yikes, writes about me.  Of course, thankfully, He edits it a bit, cleans it up, makes me something that I'm not though something I'd really liked to be.  This God, He's a real romantic at heart.  He romanticizes us.  Portrays us as our best selves.  You won't even recognize yourself in God's book.  Lord knows.  Because it's the truth of who you are in God's eyes.

You're really going to love the story God's written about you.  It's a Good Book.  I'd tell you how it ends.  But I don't want to ruin it for you.
